Xiaofang's story ​

　　Xiao Fang comes from a family with difficult circumstances. She and her younger sister are the only children in the family. Her father passed away in a car accident when she was very young, so she and her sister have been living with their mother, uncle, and grandmother. When we first came into contact with Xiao Fang, we often saw her and her sister wandering the streets, playing with stray dogs in the afternoon or evening. At the time, Xiao Fang was already in middle school, but she looked small and thin, like an elementary school student; her sister was the same, and both were very shy. 

After much persistent and enthusiastic invitation from a volunteer sister, we finally had the opportunity to serve these two sisters. Through continued care, from providing meals, studying together, teaching homework, to strengthening family values, Xiao Fang gradually discovered her interests, abilities, and potential. We also supported her in her educational and career planning. Xiao Fang, who initially disliked studying and always ranked low in her middle school exams, started to excel in her grades after entering vocational school. At the same time, she began to care for younger children, teaching them to study and sharing her story to inspire them. Through this process, Xiao Fang discovered her true passion and interest in caring for children. After completing her vocational studies, she decided to pursue a degree in "child and youth care" and "social work" in university. She continued her education and is now working as a social worker in a child care institution for disadvantaged families, continuing to shine and make a difference in society.
